About Paul Miernicki - Biography
I am PGA Class A Professional and am currently the PGA Director of Instruction at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos, California. Before that, as an independent contractor, I worked for JC Golf for eight years as the Director of Instruction at Arrowood Golf Course in Oceanside, California. Prior to joining the JC Golf Team, I worked as Head Golf Professional at Woods Valley in Valley Center, California.
Working for American Golf I ran two Nike Golf Learning Centers. The first assignment was at Eastlake Country Club, then I was the Director of Instruction at the largest Nike Golf Learning Center in the world at Riverwalk Golf Course in San Diego, California.
I taught at two facilities in the greater Los Angeles area: Birch Hills in Brea, California for one year and then Rio Hondo Golf Course in Downey for five years.
I broke into the golf business at Steele Canyon Golf Course in Jamul, California and spent my first two years as a golf professional at that facility.
Prior to my second career as a golf professional I worked as a computer/management consultant for some of the finest companies in the world.
My clients included Qualcomm, city of San Diego, Morgan Stanley, Merck Pharmaceutical, Johnson & Johnson, Conrail, Weyerhauser Paper, and First Boston, among others.
I attended the University of Scranton on a full basketball scholarship and was a member of the 1976 NCAA National Championship Team.
I attended Holy Ghost Prep for high school where I was a member of two State Championship basketball teams.
I have been married for 33 years to my lovely wife Maryann and have two children. My daughter Celine is currently attending graduate school at UCSD and my son Daniel is now a professional golfer. He graduated from the University of Oregon while on a full athletic scholarship . Daniel rose to be ranked the #7 Amateur Golfer in the World. He was a First Team Division I All-American his senior year and was named All-American for three of his four collegiate seasons.
